About GO

Why This Dictionary Exists

I do some translations of classical Chinese texts, known as 古文 (gǔwén in Chinese, kobun in Japanese) — literally "ancient writing" (古 meaning "old/ancient" and 文 meaning "writing/text/literature"). The dictionary I was using for Chinese was discontinued, so I made this one.

If there's a feature your current dictionary has that you'd like included here, don't hesitate to request it — that's precisely the point of this project. We may follow this up with additional enhancements or further software depending on community feedback and response.
